How It Works

Our promise to you

Our scientist’s work around the clock monitoring our cryopreservation room every 30 minutes to ensure stem cells are stored at the correct temperature. If your child ever needs their stem cells we will perform further quality checks before releasing the sample, following which the cells will be transported safely in cryogenic tanks to any transplant centre in the world.

Step 1

To enrol with Cryosave, you can order the kit that will be used to collect your baby’s cord blood and tissue at birth. Call us toll free at 800 2796 and our friendly customer service team will be happy to enrol you and organise for your kit to be delivered to your door. Take your kit to the hospital on the big day and hand it to your midwife before delivery.

Step 2

At the time of delivery hand the kit to your doctor or midwife so they can collect the umbilical cord blood and tissue samples. Call us to collect your kit (we’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Step 3

After collection, your sample will be sent to our laboratory in Dubai Healthcare City to be processed. Quality testing is performed to ensure cells are of the highest standard, including a cell count, sterility and viability. Once complete, the sample is ready for transportation (if you opt for dual storage) and cryopreservation. We place the prepared samples in our cryotanks which contain liquid nitrogen, cooled to -192°C. The stem cells are gradually frozen over one hour to protect them from damage. Once frozen, your child’s stem cells are stored for 30 years, available at a moments notice if they are ever needed.

When you’re welcoming you child to the world, you don’t want to have to worry about the ins and outs of collecting and storing your child’s cord blood. That is why we have made the procedure as simple as possible to ensure a seamless process every step of the way.
